Version 4.0 of iOra Mobile Intranet, the product that
gives mobile users access to their corporate intranets
whether they are online, on a slow connection or
offline, now boasts three new modules, benefiting large
enterprise users, Lotus Domino resellers and Application
Service Providers. iOra Mobile Intranet uses iOra’s
patent-pending Epsilon Technology which allows updated
information to be downloaded during normal email or
browsing activity – even over low-bandwidth
connections.
The new Enterprise Module supports unlimited numbers
of mobile users. This means that corporate intranet data
can be replicated to every laptop, ensuring it always
remains consistent and easy to locate. New XML-based
auditing and reporting also checks that important
information is received by all staff.
The second new module works with Lotus Domino-based
intranets or a mix of Lotus, Microsoft or Netscape based
intranets. It supports all Lotus Notes/Domino releases
with web-based front ends on any Lotus Notes/Domino
server platform. Steve Brown, CTO at ActiveIntranet, a
Lotus Business Partner, said: "Our Lotus Domino clients
have been asking us for a way of working offline and
iOra Mobile Intranet is an exact fit for their
needs."
The ASP Module also allows ASPs to host iOra Mobile
Intranet as a remote application. They will be able to
offer an updating service for all mobile users. The
module allows the scheduling of secure, remote
collection of corporate intranet data and can track
which mobile users need updating.
"Feedback from customers has led to the development
of these three modules," said Paddy Falls, iOra CEO.
"Mobile professionals have suffered for too long as
second class citizens – now they can have secure offline
access to their corporate intranets."
